Terms of Use
Extro is a place for honest answers to personal questions. These terms are the agreement between you and Extro when you use it.
Who can use Extro
You must be 18 or older. You need an Apple account to sign in, and you're responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.
What you can post
Questions (up to 200 characters) and answers (up to 280), public or anonymous. Be honest and be kind. You can't post:
- slurs, sexual content involving minors, explicit sexual content, or violent threats;
- links or contact details meant to take people elsewhere;
- someone's private information;
- harassment aimed at a specific person;
- spam, or anything illegal.
Some of this is checked automatically when you post, and a post that's blocked isn't saved. Being offensive or unpopular isn't, on its own, a reason we remove anything.
Anonymous posts
Anonymous means anonymous to other people. Extro itself knows who wrote every post, uses that only as the Privacy Policy describes, and can look up the author of a reported anonymous post during review.
Your content
You own what you post. You give Extro permission to store it and show it to other people in Extro as the app works (for example, showing your answer to people who answered the same question), and to use it to choose questions for your own feed. This permission ends when you delete the post or your account, except for deleted posts we keep, unseen, for reviewing reports, which are erased with your account.
Reports and removal
Anyone can report a question or answer. Reports are reviewed by a person. We may remove posts that break these terms, and limit or close accounts that do so repeatedly or seriously; a limited account can still read, save and report. If you think we got something wrong, write to support@extro.site.
If you're struggling
Extro isn't a crisis service. If you're in the US, you can call or text 988 at any time to talk to someone; elsewhere, contact your local emergency services.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Everything you wrote or did is erased, including your questions and everyone's answers to them.
Copyright
Only post what you have the right to. If you believe something on Extro infringes your copyright, write to support@extro.site with the details.
The service
Extro is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and safe, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or end features. To the extent the law allows, Extro isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. Using Extro after that means you accept them.
